The laser class fleet has continued to remain popular at Beer. Racing throughout the year is competitive yet friendly. Visitors are very welcome whatever standard and current members are always willing to help.
The olympic laser class is the most popular single handed dinghy in the world (190,000 in over 120 countries). There are three different rigs; the 4.7,the Radial and the full rig - the only difference being the size of sail and lower mast length. With it's comprehensive regatta programme and high quality construction, it has many advantages to suit sailors of all standards.

Aside from the normal club racing, members are keen to get involved in external competitions. This includes not only the South West laser circuit but also the Laser Master Championships and Salcombe Week.
